Port Broughton Uniting Church

About Us

Hello and welcome to Port Broughton Uniting Church.

about our church in port broughton

We hope that by browsing this website you will get some idea about our church and who we are.

Most of our members have deep roots in the local community, while others have found their way to Port Broughton over the years.

We all love living here and we hope to see you sometime – you will be very welcome.

We can’t introduce you to a minister as we don’t have a stipendiary minister, but we do have a ministry team, and Christ is the Head of His church.

What we're all about

At our core, simplicity defines us. We are fervent about holding true to the gospel, neither diluting its essence nor adding any frills. It’s the gospel, after all, that radiates the power of God, bringing salvation to everyone who believes.

Our earnest prayer is to craft a community where believers can connect, serve, and grow. Utilising the unique gifts and talents bestowed upon us by Christ.

A glimpse about our past

Delving a tad into the annals of our history, our church has been a part of this community since Christmas Day, 1885.

A spirited beginning, wouldn’t you say? The narrative evolved with the addition of the Soldier’s Memorial Hall in 1922 and the quaint porch in 1934.

A special mention goes out to 2015, our jubilee year, which commemorated 130 enriching years of our spiritual voyage.

So, feeling intrigued about becoming a part of our story? Merging your journey with ours, let’s craft a narrative that cherishes today and anticipates the many promises of tomorrow, all woven in our mutual love for Jesus Christ.

We’re eager to meet you and discover more about how we can grow together.

For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
